Mayor Lowry called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

    AND THAT Council direct Staff to propose a per certification compensation or lump sum compensation structure for the Building Inspectors as part of the 2025 Budget and going forward.

    THAT Council authorize the deviation from the procurement policy and award the Tender to Freightliner North Bay in the amount of $382,270.00 plus HST;

    AND THAT Council approve the additional funds of $29,000.00 for the truck be added to the originally approved amount of $365,000.00 for bank financing.

Mayor Lowry announced the winners of the photo contest:1st Ryan Donovan, who captured Almonte and the Mississippi River at night, 2nd Talya Friesen received second place for her photograph of a Bald Eagle at Clayton Lake and 3rd prize went to Chris Knowles for a snapshot of clouds over a Ramsay Ward field. All winners received a gift certificate to a local business of their choice.

Members of Council highlighted upcoming events:

  • 5 Wednesday's in July in Augusta Street Park
  • June 29th - new bicycle route between Mississippi Mills and Ottawa opening
  • June 23rd -  Strawberry Social at the North Lanark Regional museum 

Two events taking place:

  • June 20th - Summer Solstice Celebration at John Levi Community Centre
  • June 21st - Indigenous Day Solstice Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at St. Paul Parish lower hall
