SEALED TENDERS on forms supplied by the Corporation of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills will be received at the Offices of the Corporation of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, Attention: Ken Kelly, CAO, at 3131 Old Perth Road, P.O. Box 400, Almonte, Ontario K0A 1A0 no later than 2:00 p.m. local time, Monday, April 12th, 2021, for the Stewart Community Centre Wall Repairs project. The Municipality will conduct the tender opening via a live stream accessible to the Public at 2:00 p.m. local time, Monday, April 12th, 2021. The general scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, forming and pumping grout in disintegrated areas / voids in the existing masonry block walls, including removal / reconstruction of the adjacent concrete ramp and excavation / backfilling adjacent to the masonry wall to allow access to damaged areas, placement of parging along the base of the walls, and application of concrete sealer and paint on the masonry block walls. Rehabilitation work may commence May 25th, 2021 and must be completed by July 30th, 2021. A non-mandatory site visit, scheduled for Monday, March 29th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, will be held at the site located at 112 MacFarlane St., Pakenham, ON, K0A 2X0. The site visit will allow bidders the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the site and surrounding area, and to ask questions on any aspect of this project including the project scope.

 

Complete tender documents (electronic .pdf version, free of charge) will be available on Monday, March 15th, 2021 from HP Engineering Inc., 2039 Robertson Road, Suite 400, Ottawa, Ontario, K2H 8R2 and will be sent via email upon request. Hard copies of the documents will also be available upon request and on payment of a non-refundable cost of $60.00 per set. Cheques should be made payable to HP Engineering Inc.

 

A certified cheque, bank draft or bid bond not less than the amount specified in the Tender requirements must accompany each tender and the successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and 50% Materials and Labour Payment Bond upon execution of the Contract agreement.
